This Chardonnay was harvested in the Forbidden Desert Vineyard in Engle, New Mexico. It was aged in French oak barrels and finished with oak staves to obtain a bold, toasted oak characteristic. With apple pie, fresh cut grass and a subtle savory note on the nose, the palate, which is nuanced with butterscotch and melon, may come as a surprise. This well-rounded chardonnay is vibrant, balanced and oaky with a crisp, citrus finish.
