While many hybrid varietals are used in blends, Chambourcin is one of the few hybrid varietals our winemaking team believes can stand alone. This Chambourcin was made with beautiful hand-picked fruit from just one acre block of grapes grown by our friends at Enchantment Vineyards in Portales, NM. The aroma is sweet with cherry and licorice notes, while the medium-bodied dry red presents notes of vanilla bean and robust berries on the palate. The finish is nuanced with slightly green bell pepper undertones and subtle tannins.
