vanilla ∙ toasted oak ∙ bright acidity

This is 100% old vine Chardonnay grown in the Forbidden Desert in Engle, NM, one of New Mexico’s oldest and gnarliest vineyards. The flavors are concentrated, with heavy oak, decadent butter, nuances of coconut, cinnamon and vanilla on the palate. The bright acidity is muted by the aging process, which has left this Chardonnay mellow with a subtle toasted marshmallow flavor emerging from the oak barrels that housed this intense and enchanting dry white wine.
