The 2021 Curtain Call opens with an enticing aroma of dark chocolate taking center stage, accompanied by the delicate sweetness of freshly scraped vanilla bean, and followed by rich notes of coffee. On the palate, this Bordeaux-style blend offers notes of ripe blackberry, dark chocolate, and a subtle twist of lingering smoke from cherry tobacco. the Curtain Call delivers a luxurious finish that lingers long after the glass is empty. The influence of oak is evident, having been aged for an impressive 30 months in mixed oak, contributing to a velvet texture that begs and encore with every sip.

Curtain call is blended with the vintner’s favorite fruit of the season from vineyards across the state. It begs applause for New Mexican growers with beautiful Malbec, Cabernet Sauvigonon, Petite Verdot, Merlot, Mourvedre, Petite Sirah and Aglianico. The aroma is enticing with decadent vanilla bean and stone fruit preserves. The palate is perfectly balanced with notes of black cherry jam, tobacco and maple walnut ice cream. The finish is silky and robust with lingering velvet tannins.
